Worldly Goods

Inspired by vintage travel posters, this board is relaxed and would be great for a daytime wedding.  Old maps have tons of character and can be used in just about anything - table numbers, invitations, programs, centerpieces, and engagement shoots!  It would be fun to scan some and have them printed on long sheets of paper for a table runner.  And how adorable are the airplane-shaped salt and pepper shakers?  They would make a great cake topper.

Super Sweet Red & White

Red and white is such a vibrant, happy color combination!  This cherry red can be used in any season, and it feels light and youthful, instead of, say, maroon, which is more suited to cold weather.
I am of course drooling over these Valentino pumps.

Romantic Blossoms

This board is all about the flowers!  The blooms are a bit deconstructed, making them feel modern instead of overly girly, and aquamarine blue and brass lend an antique air.  These colors would be lovely for a morning or afternoon wedding, especially in the spring.

Lake Love

I just returned from a vacation in the New Hampshire lakes, so when I saw this picture on Abbey Goes Design Scouting, I had to make an inspiration board. The colors come straight from summer in New England - lake blue and pine, set off with sunset pink.  Summer on the lake always makes me think of classic camp stories (The Parent Trap) and bugs!

Daisy Blossoms

Daisies are pure summer!  They're blooming up in the mountains now, and I love the sprinkle of white and yellow among the rocks. This is a breezy, simple inspiration board perfect for hot July days.

Pinot Noir Grapes and Leaves

A misty morning inspired this Pacific Northwest wine country board.  It has more of an earthy, artistic feel and would be great for an early fall wedding.

Modern Old World

The chair and Chinoiserie screen in the center of this board sparked my search for a modern take on old world styles.  The color scheme is darker and more appropriate for fall or winter.  It has a decidedly elegant feel, though elements like the birdcage and rattan bowl give it a rustic edge.

Charcoal and Silver

A little sophisticated, a little funky, this board imagines classic black and white (with hints of watermelon red) in an urban affair.  The ambiance is fun, elegant and feminine without being prissy.

Bamboo and Linen

Warm creams and rich greens make this a soft and sophisticated palate with a tropical hint.  Bamboo furniture is still rather au courant and I adore the Amanda Wakeley gown!

Lemons and Nautical Blue

I love this rope bracelet from Vamoose, and it sparked this nautical inspiration board.  L.L. Bean tote bags are always a classic, and would make charming (and economical - this one is on sale for $27!) gifts for bridesmaids.  I'm headed to a lakeside vacation in two weeks, and can't wait to spend my days on the water.  Happy summer!

Brick and Fairy Lights

I saw this light sculpture by Spencer Finch on Apartment Therapy and was immediately awed. It would make a lovely setting for a celebration -the lights create a soft and magical atmosphere.

Flagstone and Wildflowers

Laid-back, feminine, and floral, this board is inspired by summer in the mountains. I like the juxtaposition of the lace gown and field stone wall - an edge to temper the uber-feminine dress.
